On January 25th at 13:30, a rally in support of LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers in Finland will take place in the center of Helsinki. 🌈

📢 The rally will demonstrate how people arriving with hopes for protection face bureaucratic decisions and unfounded rejections from the Finnish Immigration Service that break their lives.
Organizers from "Queer Asylum: FI" and participants will stand with backpacks and suitcases as symbols of their hopes for safety. They will hold tattered LGBTQIA+ flags as symbols of persecution in their countries of origin and placards with the slogan LOST HOPES = BROKEN LIVES.
📍 We will meet at Rautatientori Square near the railway station, by the statue of Aleksis Kivi.
Join the rally to draw attention to the unjust treatment and violation of the rights of LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers in Finland.
After the rally, those who wish can continue the discussion at the OODI library.
