Rules, Terms, Core Principles, and Values
Becoming a Full Member of the Association
Anyone who shares the core principles and values of Initiative for Resistance and Dialogues (Initiative FoReDi) RY can become a full member of the association:
1️⃣ Anti-war stance and support for Ukraine

The organization opposes aggressive war and condemns Russia's attack on Ukraine.

It recognizes Ukraine's territorial integrity and demands the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops from its internationally recognized territory.
2️⃣ Support for civil society and human rights

Adheres to the principles of freedom of speech, freedom of expression, and the independence of civil institutions.

Stands against political repression and supports political prisoners.

Considers any forms of violence, discrimination, and human rights violations unacceptable.
3️⃣ Dialogue and mutual respect

Promotes dialogue between civil societies in Finland, Russia, and other countries.

Encourages respectful discussions and condemns baseless attacks on activists.
4️⃣ Horizontal connections and migrant integration

Supports Russian-speaking migrants in Finland, helping them integrate into professional, educational, and cultural environments.

Creates a platform for self-organization and initiative implementation.
5️⃣ Activism and participation

The organization is open to everyone who shares its principles.

Encourages civic engagement despite the challenges of migration and changing environments.

Participates in actions, rallies, election monitoring, and other forms of civic activism.
By joining Initiative for Resistance and Dialogues (Initiative FoReDi) RY, you will gain:
1. The opportunity to influence the organization's activities and actively contribute to the common cause
You will be able to:

Propose initiatives and actions within the statutory goals of the organization.

Gain access to the members' working chat, where project details are discussed.

Participate in annual meetings and influence the organization's activities.

Nominate yourself for the board.
2. The opportunity to find like-minded individuals
You can join existing projects or form a team to implement your unique initiatives with the organization's support.
3. Access to up-to-date information
You will be among the first to receive updates on the organization's current projects and its partners through a special mailing list for members.
Rules for Expulsion from the Initiative for Resistance and Dialogues (Initiative FoReDi) RY
Members of Initiative for Resistance and Dialogues (Initiative FoReDi) RY must adhere to the organization's principles, respect its values, and maintain a healthy atmosphere of interaction. Violation of these principles may result in expulsion from the organization.
Grounds for Expulsion:
1️⃣ Support for War and Aggression

Justifying or approving aggressive war, including Russia’s attack on Ukraine.

Denying war crimes or spreading disinformation that contradicts the organization’s anti-war stance.
2️⃣ Violation of Human Rights and Discrimination

Engaging in racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or other forms of discrimination.

Insulting, threatening, bullying, or engaging in any other form of violence in communication within or outside the organization.
3️⃣ Undermining Civil Liberties and Democratic Values

Attempting to restrict freedom of speech, expression, or other democratic rights of members.

Advocating for authoritarian, repressive, or anti-democratic governance methods.
4️⃣ Inciting Conflicts and Destructive Behavior

Engaging in systematic personal attacks on activists and members.

Creating artificial conflicts, spreading false information, or exhibiting destructive behavior that harms the organization.
5️⃣ Abuse of Trust and Violation of Ethical Standards

Using the organization for personal or financial gain in ways that contradict its mission.

Disclosing confidential information, endangering the security of members.
6️⃣ Failure to Participate and Violation of Internal Rules

Ignoring the organization's principles in its activities.

Repeatedly violating the organization’s charter or internal regulations.
Expulsion Procedure:
🔹 The violation is reviewed by the organization’s board.
🔹 The situation is discussed, and the member is given an opportunity to explain their actions.
🔹 A final decision on expulsion is made based on the discussion.
Initiative FoReDi is a community of people united by shared values. Those who do not share or violate these values cannot remain part of it.
